It's commonly available in Phoenix. I've used it off and on for the last 40 years. Burned holes in one of those inexpensive walkabout grills. Has some dust in the bottom of the bag. But mostly decent size pieces with some quite large. Never found anything else in the bag but charcoal made from mesquite. And it never burned through a Weber. (It just made the charcoal grate bend a little🚴👀). That was at about Warp 11😀
Now that I have a Kamado Joe I've been using it and I'm happy with it. Have a bag of KJ lump but I haven't done any head to heads yet.
I'd say give it a try. At the sale price it's a bargain.
