    Kingsford Professional...where did it go?

My favorite charcoal is Kingsford Pro. I always get it at Costco in a two pack. For weeks I haven't seen any, nor the Kirkland brand. I can't even find it at Costco online. The Kingsford website says it's exclusively at Costco. Tried to search online to see if ANYTHING pops up and nothing. I'm guessing there is a price pissing match between the two.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Costco is trying to introduce their own Brand Name. Usually 50cents a pound.

Costco still sells Kingsford Pro along with their Kirkland brand. It’s just that after Labor Day some Costcos quit selling charcoal and some carry it year round. 50 cents a briq?! You mean 50 cents a lb right? 😂

I'm using Cowboy Briquets made by same company as B&B, since Kirkland and KBB Pro are hard to find. I get them at Walmart

Me too. I like them much better than than original(ish) Kingsford.

Yeah, I was missing them at my Costco as well. I found them two rows from the back corner. They had the Kingsford Brand and the Kirkland brand out there. They usually have them free standing on the skid, but they were tucked in the shelves when I saw them.

I know that Costco stops selling charcoal at some locations after Labor Day, so I checked online to be sure. According to an AI answer it said….some stores stop selling charcoal after summer and some locations carry it year round. They also said it’s up to each store to decide if they carry it year round. I wouldn’t go by what an employee tells you necessarily. I’ve had an in-store employee tell me they were out of Kirkland brand charcoal. I looked around for myself and found some in the back corner.

Rod Do you have a Costco Business Center near you? I have one in Houston and it shows they have it.

Panhead John I do. Good idea. However, I would think they would have them available for online order. They just don't show up at all when searching their website. Just some kind of char-log.

I did look at the local business center online and all they show is el diablo lump. Not a fan of lump and the physical location is not an area that's fun to get too.

I know there are usually "dry spells" with charcoal at my Costco. Especially as we enter the stupid "non-grilling" season of winter. Here especially, winter is the best time to cook outside. It's just never been this dry for this long at my Costco.

All that combined with what the Kingsford's website says and Costco online showing nothing or "out of stock" suggests there is something amiss.

At least in the northeast they seem to stop stocking charcoal by now. Wal-Mart had a nice price on B&B briquettes so I stocked up fortunately.
