    Char Broil Center Cut Lump Charcoal?

    I saw this at Lowes recently. I've not seen it there before. Is it new? I don't remember the price, but I remember thinking it was really expensive.

    $22/bag. Unlike most lump that varies from large chunks to crumbs, Char-Broil claims this is all uniform, perfect sized pieces.

      Another manufacturer has char-logs for about $20/bag. Consistent size but probably too big for what I would use them in.

        At $22 per 11lb box it isn't worth experimenting on. I can get Rockwood or Fogo for half that, I can get Royal Oak for a third of that.

        It's burnt wood. How much better can it be.

          $22 per 11 pound box!? If I cipher correctly that's $2/lb! And people think my FOGO is expensive at about $1/lb!EEK!

          My thoughts exactly, CeramicChef . I usually get Wegman's (Royal Oak rebrand) @ 6.99/10, but it's only another $3/lb to move to Fogo or Rockwood. But this is TRIPLE that. For burnt wood.

          I think you can make plenty of money selling burnt wood for $1/lb. No sense getting greedy.
