    Kirkland briquettes

Anyone seen them locally yet? They are supposedly available at business centers, but I think the closest business center to me is in NJ.

My Costco, Southlake, TX, had some last year. I have 1 bag left. Last week they only had Kingsford Pro. I have never seen both brands at the same time in the store. It's either or.

Mine has had both at the same time, but they weren’t in the same place. I had to look around.

On my Costco run 2 weeks ago, they had Kingsford Blue, 2 bags for $17.99. No Kirkland. If I recall, the Kirkland usually shows up in April/May.

I do a lot of short cooks and I can shut down the vents in my kettle when done. That puts the fire out, and the remains of the briqs are normally still the size of unused KBB briqs, so I can easily get a second cook out of 'em.

I think it's great. It lights quickly with less smoke than KBB or KPro, burns hot, and lasts longer than KBB or KPro.

Oh cool. Good to hear. I will have to check it out. Thank you for the input, boys! RonB PGH_RAM

Was at my Costco yesterday in SE PA.
No Kirkland briqs, but Kingsford Pro on sale through the end of March.

I just bought these at our Costco today. "Professional" "Hottest Burning." Anyone tried these in a Pit Barrel Smoker? I'm still new to mine. Have done back ribs, a whole chicken, and boneless pork shoulder, all turned out great. I'm amazed how moist the meat stays. But I've been using regular Kingsford briquets and am wondering if these will be too hot. The Kingsford site says these are available exclusively at Costco.

Works like a charm. Very little ash in comparison. Use for the Chimley and the main cook.
PBC n SnSKamado deluxe. Fidy cents a briq cannot be beat!

I’ve not had good results with that brand and much prefer kingsford. Heck I prefer supermarket brands.

According to Instacart. it looks like the Kirkland brand charcoal is back in stock here in Pittsburgh. They're selling it in one 30 lb bag now for $16.39 instead of two 20 lb bags. I guess they want to entice "casual grillers" to buy it as opposed to us heavy users who'll probably buy two bags at once anyway. (Instacart marks up Costco's in-house prices, so I'm guessing the warehouse cost of the 30 lb bag is closer to $15.)

I saw the 30lb bag on my last trip. Lets see...$13.99 is what I paid May 7th n Briskie was $4.29lb choice.
Charcoal for less than fidy cent per pound I just have to try.

The Kingsford Professional are the ones available at my local Costco up here in Canada. They are at $31.99 Canadian for the 2 bag pack. Still quite a saving over regular Kingsford which is running around $20.00 for one 18 lb. bag. So far I have bought 2 of the 2 packs. If I go to Costco this week if they still have some I'm going to pick up one or two more.

Alan Brice I have only ever seen the Kirkland Lump charcoal in my store, tried a bag, not a fan too many very small chunks and/or dust that falls through the charcoal grate.
