B&B Briquets, if you spot a sale...

I don't often see B&B available near me in any physical store, but a year or so ago when they had a big sale (Walmart I'm quite sure) I bought 10 bags and have been casually using them here and there. While some of you may remember me complaining in other topics that I think they smell like a trash fire when lighting (and I stand by that view, currently), I am quite impressed with their performance. Last night I used them again for some steaks and man that stuff burned forever. Their smell is hardly an issue when their performance is top notch. *Not necessarily enough to convince me to abandon K-ford, I still love its dependability and availability everywhere.

If anyone spots a sale on B&B at Walmart or any other place that can be ordered online and delivered, can you post it here so I can stock up some more?

Huskee I think that is regular pricing. My local Academy sells if for $9.99 for the 17.6# bags. Of course, the much closer Ace has it... but for $16.99 a bag - up $2 since I last went there in fact.

      That's everyday pricing.

Yep, it’s $9.97 at Walmart online, that’s the cheapest you’ll find it anywhere. As others have mentioned, Academy carries it also if there’s one near you and their everyday price is the same……17.6 lb bag

Academy Sports has them at the regular price of $9.99 in my area.

Are you sure it’s B & B you saw? I’ve never seen it sold in a twin pack.

Nope I was referring to Cowboy. That's what I get for drinking a Coors Lite followed by a PBR. 🙄

It must be a rotating regional sale. I posted a while back but in certain areas it was available at the sale price. I just checked Wal-mart in our area it isn't on sale, so if it is in your area smok'em if ya gottem.

I need to try and find this stuff and try a bag. I’ve been seeing an awful lot of great reviewed for it here in the only place I trust with such information, AR.

This crowd convinced me to try it, mostly Jerod since the way back days, but others too. It really is good stuff. I
ve never seen it in person in MI though, no Academy stores and ACE doesn't have it here, so maybe same for you in IN?

It took awhile before I found the briquettes in the store. I’m not a fan of lump which is all they carried until this year. I used kingsford exclusively until I could buy B&B in HEB and Academy.

Walmart+ account is always free delivery no matter the total of the order.

Don't confuse this with grocery delivery.

The Walmart sales seem to come and go, and I do the same, wait for them to hit that price and order a bunch for free delivery.

And I absolutely swear by this charcoal for low and slow, better than anything I've tried, not that I've canvassed the entire range of what's available... super consistent, lasts a long long time, very reproducible behavior which is what I hope for more than almost anything.

You do not need to "order a bunch for free delivery".

This is about the 5th time I have mentioned this and nobody responds.
So, either you all already have Walmart+ accounts, or you don't believe me.
              I know what "Shipping - $0.00" means.

              Rant over.

Smoker_Boy That was my clumsy wording - I did not mean to imply that I needed to order a bunch to get the free delivery; instead, I meant that I order a bunch at a time rather than in onesies and twosies... I could have worded it to make that clear, but failed

B&B are top notch. You might want to get a bag or 2 of their Char Logs. I use a couple with the briquettes on long cooks.

I’m a BB loyalist, I have 2 bags left after a 28 bag purchase this spring, I need to find them online again.

edit, just ordered (12 more bags on WM . Com ) thank you for the reminder.. 9.99 a bag, free shipping.

28 bags, two left!! My goodness. I doubt few people use their grill (PK360) more than I. seriously averaging 5 times a week all year. Granted, just wife and I mostly , chicken , steaks, chops, seafood, pizza, ribs etc.. I don't come close to using 26 bags of charcoal, (one bag every 2 weeks ?)... What am i doing wrong??
