If I can save even one of you from wasting your money, this post is worth it. A week or so ago I went to Home Depot to restock on my KBB, it’s usually 2 20lb. bags for $17.99. This is my go to charcoal for grilling or short cooks. B & B is my choice for low and slow. They were totally out of KBB and the only briquettes they

WSM 22.5"
Weber Kettle 22.5"
Maverick ET-732/Thermapen Mk4
Bosch Universal Plus Stand Mixer (Primarily used to shred meat and knead Pizza Dough!)
1946 General Electric Refrigerator (All Beer, Meat, Meat curing, and my Lacto-ferments)
I like embers over KBB. I’ve switched to Cowboy hardwood briquettes but always felt embers resembled what KBB used to be like in the past before the newer formulas.

Weber MT Kettle, SnS, DnG, Easy Spin Stainless Steel Grate, Elevated SnS SS Cooking Grate, Vortex, Cajun Bandit Rotisserie, Oklahoma Joe Bronco, OKJ Bronco Triple Grate, Mini Weber Kettle ashtray Maverick XR-50, TimeStick Trio
UPDATE: I lit up the el cheapo Embers charcoal in my chimney and they generated a lot of smoke. Once the smoke died off, I poured them into my Vortex and they were fine for the wings and jalapeño poppers we had during the Cowboy/Giants game.
