SheilaAnn I really like this charcoal. Burns really clean and it gets HOT! I find I don’t have to use as much. The pieces are smaller than what you are probably used to with lump. If you use a charcoal chimney to start it, just put something underneath it to catch some of the pieces that may fall through. They are coming out with briquettes soon as well. I use it all the time! Good stuff!

Weber Kettle with an SNS
Masterbuilt kettle that I call the $30 wonder grill
Bullet by Bull Grills gasser
Anova WiFi sous vide machine
Thermoworks Thermapen and Chef Alarm
I can’t remember the brand, but pre pandemic I bought it on close out at Walmart for like $5.00 for a 35# bag. I did a test run at 225 in my Big Green Egg without food and as hard as it is to believe it burned for 72 hours. I wish I had bought more, and never saw it again. As I remember someone in the Pit really loaded up on that lump, but when I went back for more it was all gone.
I’ll check out my Sam’s next week for the Good Charcoal Company.

“We are inclined to give it our Not Recommended rating. The only thing that saves it from that fate is that up to this point, we have only used Not Recommended for brands sold by fraudsters.”
Just bought some. It did burn hotter and lasted longer than Cowboy, for example.
Lots of useless small pieces and dust. Wasted money IMHO. I like briquettes when not cooking with sticks.
