Just curious…..anyone on the board have any inside info on who manufactured Weber briquettes? I still have four bags left, and treat them like gold. I’ve always assumed it was B&B but I just opened my first bag of B&B orange bag this week and they don’t look anything like the Webers, and partially burned ones seem much more fragile, so I think I was on the wrong track with that. I’m puzzled. How many charcoal manufacturers could there be in the US that would make such a high quality product yet not offer an equally high quality product under their own brand name? I’m missing something here.

Kamado Joe Big Joe III, PKGO, PK300, Jumbo Joe and PBC. Weber kettle @ the hunting camp.
I can’t locate the article/blog I read it, but I think Royal Oak was the contract brewer….er…..briquette maker in this situation. But seriously, those are some dynamite briqs. I wish I could get RO Chef Select in my neck of the woods, best charcoal around imo.

I'm down to my last bag of the Weber briquettes. I was lucky enough to find it for free on FB marketplace. I'm curious too how they are apparently still available in Canada.

I got 3 out of 10 bags left and haven't used any for probably about 4 years once I learned they would no longer be available in the US. I use B&B for the long cooks. They are great functionally, but have a harsher smell. I guess I'll keep holding out for their return...
I thought they were also available in Mexico as well. I only say that because I think I remember one of MH's videos on here where had some top Weber exec state that they still make them for canadia and Mexico.
