My new pork rub is now available on Amazon

    I'll give it a shot when it gets back in stock.

    Question... do you mix this up in big bowls in your kitchen or garage and put it in containers you've bought for the purpose, then stick on labels by hand and send cases of it to Amazon? Or have you contracted with a company to do all that stuff? If so, how big are your batches you are making at a time?

    I'm just curious, my wife has told me I should come up with my own rub to make, but quite honestly, we don't do enough BBQ or smoking to properly adjust it and do the A/B blind testing and the ingredient deletion testing like you did. Which I sincerely appreciate.

    I'll definitely pick up a batch when it comes back in stock.

      I have some industrial strength stainless machines, so I can make large batches. But yes, so far I put every sticker on every jar and fill them. I do many at a time. But if things pick up I will have to contract that to someone else.

    Wah! I put Hank's Pork Rub in my Amazon cart a couple of days ago as I stockpiled my next order. Now it's sold out. Hopefully they'll be getting more soon.

      I am not one to usually purchase a BBQ rub unless I see some reviews, but based on all the comments I see about you and your other rub, I was about to try it. Hope you get it to Amazon soon. Thank you.

      I just looked it up, pretty neat. Amazon told me "others that bought this rub" bought a 247$ or a 299$ griddle. You are right in there buddy, the high rent district.

      Received the Bonafide Beef Rub this week and Amazon is forecasting August 20th for delivery of the Pork Rub.
      I've had short ribs in the sous vide over night and am looking forward to finishing them with your Beef Rub for a few hours on the smoker today. Can't wait!

      As Ratton454 mentioned, Amazon plastered their label over the original one. I tried to peel the second label off and wound up peeling off the original as well. Doh! Henrik, any chance you would be willing to send the ingredient lists from the labels?

        Sure! Here's the beef rub ingredients: black pepper, smoked paprika powder, brown sugar, ground cumin, salt, garlic powder, shiitake powder.

        Can't cook until Tuesday eve, and won't have time to cook ribs Tuesday, but most likely will be doing pork loin chops with your rub. Any tips other than what's obvious? Still dry brine, lightly, I assume?

          My experience receivin delivery of it, today, was kinda unexpected:

          I had jus stepped out to have me part of a cig (yeah, I know), an th cat come streakin by me, like his tail was on fire, with that ultra high, plaintive, doppler meow that only cats can make, when they're REALLY FREAKED OUT!!!!
          (Yall remember, he is a Rescue Cat, (He rescued me!) who was obviously Very Abused.)

          Now, he liked to went right through th danged ol storm door, afore I popped it open fer him, an I turned back to face th street...whiskey tango foxtrot interrogative??? Nuthin much ever scares him, in my experience

          Around th rear corner of Th Blue Belle comes a pretty large feller, at a full run towards me. Huh? I'll haveta admit, from th way he was rollin, one step from sightin him, I already had th thumbstrap popped loose...
          Another step (there wasn't bout 7-8 between us, I seen he had a package in one hand, an relaxed some.

          Well, he come up to me, handed it to me, an said "Good Timing, huh?"
          I thanked him, called him Sir, as is my nature, an he boogie two shoed back to his Transit, an rolled on.

          I certainly appreciate th speedy delivery, an am eagerly lookin forward to tryin Hanks Bonafide Beef Rub, but, please, tell yer delivery guy(s) I ain't nobody important, or in too awful dang bad of a hurry, leastwise, not that bad!

          Yup, they stuck a big ol sticker all over yer web address, ingredients, etc. I jus tried peelin back a corner, an that's not gonna work out so hot.

          Mebbe they could stick it on th lil plastic bag they had it encapsulated in, stead of right on yer hand filled jar...

          I ain't fer one minute meanin to complain to ya, Brother, so please don't never take it that way...

          I was only offerin up what I thought was certainly a rather unconventional experience, receivin a package, fer others to peruse, or ignore, an some feedback as to how yer product is bein presented...

          Cain't wait til th Pork Rub gits here, but I might await it indoors...

            What a story! I'm gonna have to check with Amazon, as everyone reports about that big ole' sticker covering the label. Don't know what's up with that, I haven't been informed anyway. Thanks for letting me know.

          Hi Henrik, The sticker has Amazon's info on it for their tracking system. It is possible to get it off, but you must do it slowly and it leaves a sticky mess behind, I used GooGone to get rid of the sticky stuff.

            Yep, got it. But I did put a bar code on every label explicitly to avoid that. Will get in touch with Amazon to find out what can be done.

          Just picked up some beef rub. Pork rub is out of stock or else I would have bought that also. Ill check back soon to order though. Really looking forward to trying this.

              Hey wait, who'd you have to bribe to get your's Spinaker ? Originally they said I'd have mine by the 17th now they say it's out-of-stock would I like to cancel and order something else ???? Henrik you'd get the squirrels to start spinning the seasoning wheel and crank some more out. Your audience is getting desperate over here

                Mine is coming Wednesday and I had a notice that is shipped today. Like,y they found it in the break room or patio and just covered it up with a giant sticker so I won't notice they used it. 😀😀 I should break it down and sell it by the ounce.

              So, thought I'd give you all a quick update. Thanks for letting me know about shipments, tasting, flavor et.c. Much appreciated.
              The pork rub went a lot faster than anticipated, more is on the way. Didn't expect that, but thank you! Meanwhile, my mango supplier stopped delivering, so now I've dug up two new suppliers. A bit of a hickup in the process, but I'm working on getting a steady flow, so that won't happen in the future.

              As for the stickers covering the entire label: I was in touch with Amazon asking why. According to them the barcode isn't enough. It should also contain the full name of the product, the literal text "NewItem", and it's SKU. Doh! the full name is written all over the front label, the bar code contains the unique identifier, et.c. Very frustrating, to say the least. But I can't win this battle, so now I'm printing the labels separately, and putting them on a poly bag (with a bottle in it). A waste of a lot of plastic bags, but if that is what it takes...

              I shippped a batch of beef rubs yesterday, but the following batches from now on will not have stickers all over. Thanks for your patience.
