Meadow Creek TS-120 for sale in Grove City Ohio

This is pretty much what I've been drooling over from Meadow Creek.

    Upsides:
    1. I think it'll fit a whole hog? (suckling pig, probably).
    2. I'd love to learn how to use a stick burner.
    3. Neighbors would be jealous.
    4. Would really look cool in my SUWYC pics!
    5. It's like 20 minutes from me.
    6. I have a truck, can tow it without any issues.
    7. The chicken flipper in front... how can you not love that?

    Downsides:
    1. This would likely cause a divorce, I'm pretty sure. (absolutely certain).
    2. It won't fit through my gate to the backyard.
    3. I don't have $7,000.
    4. Did I mention the divorce?

Might not be that bad of a thing. More food for you. 😁

Maybe if you showed your Wife the picture and offered $6900. Just an idea...

WTF now stands for "Where is The Fish?"

But in your case, it could stand for "Where is The Flipper?"

I'm thinking, based on the price and the fact he's getting out of the catering business, his has already happened!

If you don’t have $$$ for the smoker, how are you going to pay the retainer for the divorce attorney? I’m not saying don’t do it, this is the Pit after all. I’m just saying make sure you take out a big enough loan.

Heh! Definitely need to add that to the Downsides list!

Find out what a new one costs. Then, do like your wife probably does when shopping: Buy $500 worth of stuff that is marked 25% off and she comes home to tell you that she saved you $125. She just neglects to tell you that she spent $375 instead of staying home and not spending anything at all.

I'm pretty sure with those options listed a new one is north of $10k. I already tried that angle... she's too smart. But thanks for the advice, it's actually spot on! 😂

dpearce I have 14 grills/smokers. And yes, the question came up "why do I have so many grills". My answer to my wife was, "I could be a guy that loves to work on cars. The driveway would be stained with oil and I'd have car parts and blocks all over the place. Or I can buy grills and make you delicious food. Which would you prefer?" She rolls her eyes, but nary a complaint since.

See, you can explain that you know a guy named Dean who has 14 cookers, and your Uncle Bob who has 22...........you'd be the sane one of the group....

I had to figure out what the heck a chicken flipper is.
    That rig is a beauty.
If this a new erstwhile catering business for you, the cost of purchase is probably completely deductible in the first year.

More good reasons! I really appreciate all you guys! My wife, probably does not...

Well, I vote get it, it lives in the driveway, with a nice dry wood pile inside the garage. Problem solved - the wife parks BEHIND the smoker, or in the street, and then she doesn't have to look at it as she backs out....

BTW, good luck with your divorce. You will need to go into a side job catering chicken for poeple to pay the legal fees and alimony.

Truth be told, we really do not have the money for something this epic, right now. SWMBO did say, “this looks like something you could get when you retire when we have time to go to local festivals and cater events.” So there’s hope. The proximity ito me would be super convenient, the timing is bad though.

In all seriousness, I will add that I was hesitant to tell my wife I bought the PBX on sale for $160, but she likes the chicken and ribs off it a LOT, so I think approves the purchase. $7000 is a whole different level. And the food won't be $7000 better than off your current cookers...

My wife literally eats nothing I cook. Except hotdogs, a little bit of Thanksgiving turkey (white meat only, no skin), and a little bit of ham. It’s hard to smoke pasta on the pit barrel or the Weber. Grilled cheese or bacon on the Blackstone is the only other food she goes for. So for her, total waste.

dpearce WOW. I hate to hear that. Makes it hard to be motivated to cook/grill/smoke when your closest person doesn't like any of it. I guess I am blessed that my wife will eat about anything I crank out from the grill. She did limit herself with the pork ribs last weekend off the PBX, but she ate maybe 2 for each of two meals. Then she was done and I ate the rest over a couple of day period.

Maybe you need to perfect the art of the boneless skinless chicken breast, or stir fry maybe?
