After roughly 15 years, I am giving up my beloved Backyard Jambo. It has been a great offset smoker. Jambo's are quite often on the BBQ competition circuits. Hit her sweet temp. spot and she purrs like a kitten.
COST: $0. It's almost free (*see below in RETURN). Just have to pick it up. Roughly a $3,000 value new (it has the bar grates). There is some rust on the outside of the firebox, but it is all superficial. Easy sanding and painting will take care of that. For specs see Backyard | jambopits
REASON: Getting older, kids have all graduated college and now gone (we're empty nesters). Thus, no more big parties or sports events to cook for. Plus, I bought a KBQ and that now takes care of all my smoking meat needs.
WHY FREE: I want it to go quickly. Want the space for other smokers. I could hold on to it, wrap it up and put it in my "bones yard", but I want to see it used. Preferably by someone from this website. Also, it is better to give with a warm hand than a cold one.
WHAT I WANT IN RETURN: Some seasoned wood. Preferably oak or pecan.
If interested, send me a private message.
