This hurts. I definitely understand where you care coming from with cooking for only one. Your OJB vs. PBC convinced me to get mine. I am asking my family in Texas if they are looking for one.

Well, well, well. I've never seen anyone here get rid of a PBC, and so callously at that. I think we all know what the lesson is here. ...! ...! ...!

Put it on Craig’s List, it will be gone within a few days, maybe less. I sold my pellet smoker in 2 days, my Weber 22” kettle in like 2 hours and my WSM 22” in a couple of days. Good cookers at a good price sell almost instantly, it’s insane 👍

I am laughing so hard right now. You insincere OJB shill!! 😂😂😂 But we feel you PJ, so much surf 🌊🦀🦐 and turf 🐄🥩lately. All the broilers 🐓in Texas just released a collective sigh of relief. 🔥🔥🔥 Them swimps are shaking in their shells 🍤🍤🍤. . . Way to pay it forward 😎 and pass a nice deal on a super gently used cooker. I have one so will have to let my Texas friends know about it 🔥🔥🐿️

I have to admit I feel a little bit hurt, a little bit betrayed, and an awful lot mad by this development.. Mad that I no longer live a short drive (by Texas standards) to Houston. Still, if I wasn't potentially going to have to shovel 4ft of snow of the deck and clear 100ft of driveway just to get to street in order to wait a day or two for the county to plow, I might be loading up the chocolate lab, Mousse, for a road trip. Mousse loves a good road trip.

Don’t you already have 2 OJB’s? Maybe I’m thinking of someone else?
-
Panhead John Yes, I do already have 2, but they could always use a brother...

Well, she’s gone…….SOLD!
This morning I listed it on Offer Up for $250. 2 hours later I got a message on Offer Up asking if I’d take $200. and said he’d pick it up today. I replied back… $225. and it’s yours. I wasn’t gonna take a low ball offer right off the bat. He said ok. Anyway, he brought a friend of his along who had a truck. Come to find out, the friend has a Bronco and talked his buddy into buying mine! They mentioned that they had just started a competition BBQ team and placed 3rd overall in their 1st competition using his Bronco…..cool beans man! Anyway, it’s found a new home and I’m glad it’s going to an experienced BBQer who appreciates what a fine smoker this is. 👍 A little sad to see it go, but….I got my money’s worth out of it for sure……I paid $300. for it from Lowe’s, used my Lowe’s card for a 5% discount, final price, $285. plus tax. Used it 2 1/2 years and sold it for $225.
Darius and his buddy loading it up.

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Well, I for one will say that if you are mostly cooking for yourself.... I can understand downsizing, and the SNS kettle is perfect. And heck - I can cook for a crowd on a kettle. I've done 18 pound briskets on mine using the SNS, and 5-6 racks of ribs, with creative use of a rib rack.
I am in a less-cars-and-trucks push right now myself, after having two pickup trucks in the driveway for years now. Working to fix things on the 2006 Silverado and 1996 Cheyenne step side, and selling one. Right now... the 1996 with 203k miles on it may get the nod to stay, as the money from the 2006 will cover a paint job and front seat reupholstery, and then some. Trucks are crazy expensive right now.... the 2006 is a standard cab with 8 foot bed - the 96 is extended cab and short bed, and I just like the step side style....

Yeah, the kettle will do just fine for smoking anything I want to do. I loved my Bronco and it did a damn good job with anything I smoked on it, but it just wasn’t being used enough to keep it. And with the new Nautilus, I can finally walk around the front of my car to the other side of the garage with the door closed! Yippee! 🤓
