Didn’t cook today, but got off work and found that my wife cooked for family dinner with her parents and sister.

Baked potato bar with a lot of options. I chose chili (from a can of some kind), steak bits, cheese, and onions - white and green.

As the one who does most of the cooking for our family it’s nice to come home to a tasty meal!

texastweeter - consume was great…and…not bragging, but it reminded me of mine the server came to clear the table and I had a swig of consome left and I stopped him so I could drink it! Hahah he laughed and said that’s when you know we did it right!

I love my Chimp. Every couple of weeks I spatchcock a chicken and cook it on the Chimp. Today we had a sudden downpour while it was cooking and the Chimp just powered on through. I usually don't post them but this one was so dang pretty. Olive oil spritz and Montreal Chicken seasoning. It is as good as it looks.

I’ll look at mine when I get back home. But I’ve made two types, and the spaetzle I make is a lot wetter than spatzen, which is what I make most often when I do. Spaetzle is like it’s almost dripping off the spaetzle maker. Spatzen are really long noodles if you are using what looks like a dough press in a way. But, the way my Oma taught me, if it’s not a workout…your dough is too loose!

But, top of mind, we use about a dozen eggs and just under 5lbs of flour for the entire family of 8
