Quite Atypically, yet another Departure from Th Island of Misfit Cookers...

    Part I

It's all good, yall, so don't worry on accounta my well-bein...

I had not used my poor lil ol Brinkmann Gourmet (R2D2) in several years, an wanted to find a Good Home, not set her out at th curb fer th scrappers... she deserved a better ride off into th Sunset than that, as I reckoned it... Still R4D (Ready 4 Duty!)

'Twas not an easy decision, but simply a matter of non-utilization, vs precious real estate in my teensy garage...

Show yall a lil bit where we been, together...

Also, access to my biz email, in case of questions / problems, etc. ...he already has my phone / txt #...

Great Plan, brother, but I live in a duplex, our motour garages are siamesed together, an I rather doubt my neighbour Matt would be amenable, bein's how he keeps his wee lil murdersickle, an mostly his Camry indoors, there... smokin fool

My first smoker was gifted to me by my late grandfather and was that exact model. Cooked many a good meal on it. I too outgrew it and passed it on to a prison guard in Palestine TX. Still see Mark now and again at Lodge, he claims he still smoking fish on her!

I am guessing that Brinkman is a water smoker. I started out on one and it really turned out some great butts. My only complaint was the need to get up about 4am on overnight cooks to add fuel and water.

Yup, a water smoker, an yup, historically turned out some great cue....
never hadda git up overnight, with this lectric one...
But, have waited way, far, long beyond overnight, fer large products to acheive doneness...

This one hits close to home. This is my very first smoker, which was a hand-me-down from my brother. I had no interest in smoking, but he forced it on me or he was going to throw it away. So I gave it a try, and was hooked. Because of this smoker I found AR. I haven't used it in 5+ years, but a few years back I decided to give it a Gator makeover, since I knew i was way too sentimental to ever part with it. It sits in my garage, loved and seen only by me.

Th earliest of th pics I posted , although they're all chronologically kinda mixed up, is from 2013; me an th Brinkmann R2D2, we've had our Moments, together, many of which have been shared right here, on AR...

Glad to see her go to a happy home, where she'll be loved, an appreciated.

Even provided Tech Support, to help ease th learnin curve...
