So.... I’m really interested to know which prize you would choose and why you would choose it. This is all opinion and there are obviously no right or wrong answers. Thanks!

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I would probably get the Hasty Bake, but the Blaze gasser is one I’ve thought of too, since my Genesis is 17 years old. The Hasty Bake would solve space issues I have with my kettle, which is why I wouldn’t go for the sexy PK360. I just want more space for almost all my summer cooks, and my offset is pushing 35 years old.
I would love to see an offset added to the list at some point.

So far I have it narrowed down to one of three:- PK 360
- Hasty-Bake
- Vision Pro

Th Good One, Open Range...
Great, predictable, controllable charcoal/stickburner, with repeatable settings/results.
Makes great food, plenty of smoke if desired ,in yer flavour profile.
Course, this is all hypothetical, like ya first said, right? No right or wrong answers.

Now, I thought the 'Good One' was a good idea, but I've never really heard a direct user's thoughts on it. I might go with a combo set of meats, blades, accessories, etc., because I've worked hard on my food prep and cook identity, am satisfied, and now think focusing on who I am as a fire-cook is more important to me than how many ways I CAN cook.
My selection stays open until "I win" but it wont be about $$. It'll be about what I can try that's new. I've actually thought it thru - 'well that wouldn't include meats - that's a one time deal'. Yes it would! That's something I may never have, if only once, unless I chose it.
I'm not greedy, I'm HUNGRY. (for taste experiences)
Now that I wrote that, I realize my passion and somewhat mastery of fishing helps satisfy this. You estimate an insect or bream population; you select a run, ripple or pool section of current, you correlate species tendencies to placement in the water column, you drop your bait.
You don't know what you'll catch, and sometimes, if you're lucky, you have to rethink everything you were going to do for dinner.

I always liked the Good One for it’s two chamber cooking arrangement, but the addition of the Vision Kamado is tempting especially with it’s ability to convert to propane and I am a Kamado guy. In addition, the PK is inviting because of its durability and simple two zone fire.

Being the snobby stick burner I am I too wish there was a offset stick burner option. But any of the prizes would be nice. I have seedlings of ideas planted for a outdoor kitchen on my concrete patio. So I think maybe the gasser would get the juices and motivation moving to actually start one. The Hasty Bake has always caught my eye as well.

My gasser is shot. It is made by Altima, but for Lowe’s. It was nice when it was new, but I have no idea how old it is and it is falling apart now. The searing burner mesh thing is gone, so it isn’t like it was. The electric spark ignotor doesn’t work. The rotisserie burner will not stay lit (but looks good). And there are rust holes. I can’t get replacement parts, so it’s down to duct tape and bailing wire. So the Blaze looks tempting. But three burner. It would be a major upgrade for what I have, but I am looking at the Napoleon Prestige (or prestige pro) 500 RSIB or maybe the summit equivalent. I the Summit because WEBER, but Napoleon wins out for cool factor (I like LED lights and blinky things).
Got the charcoal thing covered. BUT....The Good One. Why not two charcoal grills? Also The Good One can burn logs or charcoal. So there is that.
And then there is the GMG. Don’t have a pellet anything. My neighbor does, and they are so very convenient. Heck I could just tell my wife to remove the pork tenderloin from the fridge at 11 AM and put it in the GMG, and I could cook from work over Wi-Fi. Can’t do that with my Primo! Or I could gift the GMG to my dad, who currently just has an electric smoker.
The Broil King Keg and Vision are nice, but I already have the Primo. But then again maybe my dad might like either of those. He has said something about wanting a BGE.....

Your experience with your worn out gas grill are one reason I'll probably stick with a Weber of some sort for my gasser at least. I went through a lot of crappy grills before someone GAVE me the Genesis 2 burner I have, and its been solid, and I can get replacement parts 16-17 years after it was made.
-
Exactly. The gas grill came with the house, the sellers purchased it. I got my use out of it, but it needs to be replaced. They paid Weber price for it when it was new and it looked like a built in...but a Summit would have been a much better value for about the same price.

I started this thing and realized I didn’t add my 2 cents. I have a Weber 26†kettle and a camp chef 24†Smoke Vault. I love them both dearly. I had an old Weber Gas grill that was a wedding gift some 26 years ago that I kind of quit using. I would probably go with The Good One to give true charcoal / wood smoking a try since the SV runs off propane. Then I think of a pellet grill, some people say they are super easy to operate but the smoke flavor is lacking. Certainly any win is a good win and none of us would turn down any of these prizes. Let’s keep dreaming and I enjoy all of your comments. THANKS!

22" Weber Kettle w/SNS, 18" WSM, Bronco, Grilla Chimp, Traeger Tailgater, UDS, Camp Chef Tahoe Stove.
Probably the GMG or the GOOR. Maybe Hasty Bake. But probably the GMG for convenience. Or who the heck knows - at the last minute I might choose the KBQ. The least convenient of them all.
I am a pretty decisive guy, as you can see

I have a Weber kettle with a slow and sear plus my beloved PBC so I guess the Blaze but I’ve never really been interested in gas grills so I kind of feel like I have everything to meet my needs (meat my needs?). I have a close friend who is waffling on getting a smoker. Maybe I’d get a new smoker and give him my PBC.
