I thought I was done with MCS - NOPE

Lowe's is closing 51 stores, and two are in my back yard. While sad, the liquidation starts the 8th, and it's an opportunity to stop in and cruise some MCS candidates and name your price.

You may want to look up Lowe's and see if one near you is closing. I didn't find a link.

Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH), which is owned by Lowes, closed. Here in Chico it was a busy store. I went in for the initial sale and the items really were not on sale - especially the BBQ items. When the BIG sale came, the stuff disappeared from the inventory. I assume they were moved to the Lowes in town. I don't know for sure, but I suspected that because they had a lot of Weber products, they could not go under a certain price. The OSH had quite a nice inventory and needless to say, I was disappointed. Here's to hoping that you have a better store closing experience than I did.

They do have other Lowe's to move things to - it comes down to the manager and what secret guidelines they have on inventory relocation costs. I'll be happy with 2 for 1 KBB!

You may want to shop with a list like it is advised to do when you go to the grocery.

Sometimes your MCS needle points in a different direction. But yes.

Maybe Lowe's caught something from Sears when they decided to carry Craftsman Tools for them. hehehehehe

That's funny right there. I bought two Craftsman items. Loaded them up, brought them home, opened the boxes and smash. Both items were totally bent and trashed. Back to Lowes... What total junk. Sad.

There was a time when everything else was compared to a Craftsman.

I'm not swaying the market by any means, but I have a Lowe's 35 minutes away, the nearest Home Depot is over 1hr. My last 4 significant purchases ranging from $500-$750 could have been made at either, and all were made at Home Depot, and I picked the items up myself.

It seems there is a different attitude in a Home Depot. Something else is going on with the people end of things.

I was in the same elevator as Greg Olson's (Carolina Panthers) father-in-law while in Sandy Springs (Atlanta) for training in 2016. Home Depot uses that hotel. Can't say the same for Lowe's.

The associates at Home Depot are much more helpful I think. I still usually go to Lowe's because I have one closer but I really do like Home Depot.
