Masterbuilt Electric Smoker, model 20070106 Element died. Replace element or Smoker?

Hi all! Last night I started up my Masterbuilt Electric Smoker, model 20070106 to bring some Ribeyes to temp. The heat never got above 75 degrees. I believe my heating element is gone. It gets warm to the touch but no hotter. I looked online for a replacement but am having difficulties. Previously I had problems with temperature swings and asked here how to fix it. You guys had great advice!
Now I need to decide if I should try to find a replacement element or buy a new smoker. The elements I have found online that seems close is this one: https://www.amazon.com/BenHorn-Repla.../dp/B074CGJCXR
The smoker has served me well, but I wonder how much more life it has even if I replace the element. So I would like your opinion. Replace the element (If I can find the right one) or get a new one. I can probably afford $300 or so for a new smoker, but I haven't started researching here yet.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts you might have!

I think by claiming the one you have is electric.... well you answered your own question.

$300 will get you a new Pit Barrel Cooker (PBC) delivered to your front door ... and a dollar back in change. You might want to give it some thought ...

I tell everyone that asks that my masterbuilt electric smoker was a necessary step in my cooking progression....if you feel youre cooks are dialed in with that piece, I'd recommend moving to a live fire cooker - you won't regret it. The PBC is awesome and in your price range. WSM isn't far off either.

I too started with an electric. Now I have a Primo XL.

If there is a reason you can’t go for a charcoal or pellet grill (like you live in a condo and gas or fire isn’t allowed) replace the smoker but go with another fuel. The grill reviews here are fantastic.

Otgerwise if you must stick with electric I would be inclined to replace the thing with a newer model. It might not be the element but some internal relay or who knows what. Unless you have a way of testing components and you know for sure itvis the element.
