    Ronco Rotisserie

Hope I am putting this in the right place. I picked this little gem up on Marketplace. Never used and got it for $65, sells new for $230. Yes you can still by Ronco after all these years. The chickens were amazing!

Good to see the oil glands were removed.

Actually they were…oil glands are removed on commercially processed chicken.

RONCO actually had a number of really great products, shame Ninja and InstantPot investors don't see what the downfall of RONCO was and are pushing for the overmarket saturation and cheaper quality products.

Congrats David! I’ve always been a big fan of Ronco products. Probably my first Ronco purchase was this……

Those were the days when SNL was really funny.

I had one of those back in the ‘90s. It was good for some things, not so good for others. I can’t tell from your photos: mine just had a timer, and no temperature control, is that how yours is? One Christmas I ruined a prime rib roast in it. We settled on using it for rotisserie chicken, but there was always a lot of cleanup afterward, and finally it was just easier to roast the chicken in the oven. It’s been gone for years, I don’t remember what we did with it or who we gave it to. Probably one of my sisters.

This one has a timer and temp. The cleanup was easy. Guess they have improved. Chicken was fantastic.

I've never used one but I have family that love the rotisserie and use it often.

                  But wait, there's more!
Ron Popeil published a Rotisserie & BBQ Recipe Collection. Over 200 recipes, 240 pages, 1998 copyright. Per the back cover, Self Magazine said he was "one of the 25 people who changed the way we eat, cook and think about food."
A thrift store find for me. It actually has good material. Although he does recommend parboiling ribs for 15 minutes before going on the roti.

For only 15 minutes amd then finished in an electric cooker, I think I could give em a pass on that one.

My mom has one...she used to use it quite a bit. But it has been several years since she used it. It produced some great chicken, and roasts.

Another nice thing about your new-to-you Ronco rotisserie is that you can set it outside and not heat up the kitchen in the summertime. Good to hear that the cleanup is easy on the newer models. Enjoy using it, David.
