Team Hotrods & BBQ’s second year at Memphis in May and we had a blast again reuniting with friends from last year like Team MAC and making some new friends like team Bugsy Que who wound up taking the win in Patio. Yup we got smoked by a 13 year old lol but she’s legit. We came in 6th again in Patio, just .14 out of the tie for third. We were in the top half of almost all the Ancillary’s we entered so feeling good about that too since it’s just our second year.
We did take home one trophy though and that def felt good. We won the best booth in Patio.
We’ve already got ideas starting for cooking and the booth next year so will be trying to hit other comps somewhat close by to practice and along with some coaching from Jayce’s pop Jack, I think we’ll keep getting better. Here are some shots of the booth, and our turn in boxes. I forgot to shoot the rib box of course but here’s what the ribs look like before sauce.
