    Catching up!

I survived 5 contests in a row! Loved my one weekend off. Last weekend I played on the drums at an unsanctioned event 15 miles from home. Wasn't small though! It drew teams from San Antonio all the way up to Iowa. $17g in prize money will do that.

Tomorrow I leave for Lynchburg, TN to pass out pellets at the Jack! This will be my 18th year. Hard to believe the time has passed. I've seen lots of changes at that contest for sure.

The first weekend of November is the final contest in Arkansas. It's under Louisiana's BCA sanction (old timey IBCA) in Delight. The Arkansas Diamond Cups will be awarded to the teams who've done the best this year. Delight results will count. Below are the trophies and there's cash that goes with each. http://www.arkansasdiamondcup.com Delight is not far from the only diamond mine in North America that's open to the public!

My last venture out for 2017 is a big one! The World Food Championship in Orange Beach, Alabama November 8 through 12. I squeaked in by 7 points in the 10th place position of the Cowboy Charcoal Fire & Ice women pitmaster tournament! There was a target on my back for sure last weekend. I was absolutely certain that Heather with Crimson Q had bested me with a 7th place finish overall at a contest in North Carolina. http://worldfoodchampionships.com

Whew! I think I'll be very thankful for Thanksgiving break.

Congratulation to you and your accomplishments. You always are competent and confident when I read your post in the pit. At the same time I love the humbleness in your above post.

    I wish you great success!!

I guess I'm always too young or too old in any given music conversation. Trying to discuss Pearl Jam with my nephew and he doesn't know them and says I'm too old.

Did you survive? I was greeted by "Lake Delight" on Saturday morning. 3" of water in my working area. We carried on with the aid of lots of hay.
