It's not a cookoff or competition, but rather designed to celebrate BBQ in Houston. Thirty (30!) of the region's BBQ places will be giving out samples: 1701 Barbecue, Bar-A-BBQ, Blood Bros BBQ, Brett’s BBQ Shop, The Brisket House, Burns Original BBQ, CorkScrew BBQ*, Daddy Duncan's BBQ, Feges BBQ, Fire Craft BBQ, Gatlin’s BBQ, Harlem Rd Texas BBQ, Henderson & Kane, J-Bar-M Barbecue, La Cruda Brand BBQ, Lenox Bar-B-Q, Mimsy's Craft Barbecue, Pinkerton’s Barbecue, Pizzitola’s Bar-B-Cue, Ray's BBQ Shack, Redbird BBQ, Reveille Barbecue Co, Roegels Barbecue Co., Rosemeyer BBQ, Southern Q BBQ, Tejas Chocolate & BBQ, The Pit Room, Tin Roof BBQ, True Texas BBQ, Truth BBQ. (That is a lot of "BBQ!")

It is somewhat pricey, although considering how much one can eat, not really: $60. $120 gets you entry one hour earlier and a shirt and a drink.

    Here's a short 30-second video promoting the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUU3ugEKsRE

I want to say that some of us went earlier this year?

You think Door Dash could deliver the samples about 1hr away??

When we were at the North Carolina Meat Up, Mosca, CaptainMike and I went to the North Carolina BBQ Festival. It was smaller than this sounds but definitely worth the trip and the ticket.

Yeah, that was a stone cold blast. There was some damn good bbq there.

Yup. I think I ate the best pork ribs of my life there. Bryan Icantrememberhislastname was the pitmaster. Plus, it had such a great vibe. Vibe is so important with events like this.

Wow! A lot of those are the “who’s who” of Houston BBQ.

If this was about two months later, I'd be there for sure.
