    As an owner of a BGE, I consider the Kick Ash basket a necessity. I assume that to be equally true for all Kamados.

      do you have this one? i think that it will fit in my vision. but want to know how well this works with my pro s vision. it looks like the capacity is not as high as my fire bowl. the dia of the bottom of mine fire bowl is 13 inches' and the bottom of the kick ash is 9 inches.

      I assume there are KABs to fit each Kamado. I can only speak to the one that fits my BGE, but I can’t imagine why each version wouldn’t work equally well. Then, again...maybe my imagination isn’t up to snuff. ;<}

        I use the basket on my BGE, but I don’t use it on low and slow. The baskets tends to grow the fire faster, somI only use it on cooks that are 6 hours or less.

          LA Pork Butt so it would not be good for a 19 pound brisket

          Planner47 I believe I used it successfully on a 12 hour cook with a controller on my BGE, but if my memory serves me correctly it consumed charcoal faster. I don’t know if you would run out of fuel with a 19# brisket. Don’t get me wrong. I use it all the time with shorter cooks, and with the ash collection cup it is easy to set up for the next cook.

          Yep I have these in all my Eggs and KJ. They are great. Really handy for clean up and they allow for great airflow in the fire box.

            +1 it's so much better than the cast iron piece that came with my KJ. I use it on all my cooks.

          Works well. Like Spinaker said, Easy cleanup and good airflow.
