SnS Kamado built into a table?

I am not in the market for anything right now, but one can always dream of the ultimate outdoor kitchen, right? Maybe I will win the lottery one of these days, haha.

I have been wondering for a few weeks whether or not the SnS Kamado can be built into a table, the way you see many people do with kamados. I assume if it is flat on the bottom, you would just make a table cutout the right size, and put some fire brick on the shelf that holds the Kamado? Not having seen one in person, I am not sure how all the hardware that comes with it attaches, and if not using the frame it sits in would leave holes in the body or something.

Yes, anything can be done in that regard. No holes in the body. https://snsgrills.com/products/kamad...32287501221924

I have one and in my previous house, I had purchased without the stand. Mine was sitting on a platform on my kitchen, but I see no reason why it could not be built into a table.

Thanks for the link Huskee - I had not found that on their site. Something else for my wishlist! While I like all my separate cookers, I do have a vision for an outdoor kitchen and fireplace next to the pool.

There's something inviting about a nice outdoor kitchen. I'd love to have one but it's not realistic where I live, woodsy and too many skeeters during the brief warm months. But my my are they nice..

Huskee, yes, they are inviting. I am thinking about it for down the road. While I do LOVE the ability to shuffle my cookers around, this summer I survived with just ONE - the Campchef Flattop - out by the pool, in the area I would want the outdoor kitchen, next to the pavilion, or in a pavilion extension.

My ideal setup would probably at this time be the SNS Kamado at one end, and a flat top at the other, with some counter space between.

Also pondering the idea of paying someone to run buried natural gas line from the end of the house, around the pool, to the back of the pavilion, for hooking up grills and an outdoor gas fireplace or gas firepit.

Lots of sprinkler pipe, pool plumbing and electrical lines buried, so it would be a fun task digging that trench. I would probably dig it myself, and then pay the plumber to run the lines.

There's some great photos posted in the SNS Grills Facebook group of someone who made a table for his SNSK.

Thanks - I've seen it recently there. I've got a new SNS Kamado coming in the near future, and while I plan to just roll with the included stand and side tables, its good to know that if I want to, I can build it into an outdoor kitchen.

Here is a link to what Spinaker built.
I went ahead and put together a grilling center for my KJ Jr. I have been meaning to do this for a while now, and, well.....now that I have some time on my hands at home, I thought I would tackle this long awaited project today. (sorry about the messy patio, no spring clean up yet.) I used 4X4 pressure treated cedar for the

I have a table for my large BGE which works well for me since I keep mine in the garage and wheel it out each time I cook with it. My only advice, if you go that route, is get large wheels that can handle the weight so it's easy to move. My table was from BGE. Enjoy your new SnS Kamado jfmorris .

No better advice ever given concerning the wheels DO NOT scrimp on those puppies.

This recent topic is very interesting considering your great fortune last week!

Yes indeed! SnsGrills called yesterday to confirm the Kamado shipping info, and to tell me to expect a call from Fedex Freight to arrange delivery - so I will be sure to pick up on those "unknown calls" I normally ignore. I already answered two telemarketers today, haha!

And yes glitchy - this is winning the lottery!

ID:	973515jfmorris , I wanted a custom cart for my Primo XL. While researching designs I finally landed on eastern red cedar, but could not build it any cheaper than a guy I found on Craigslist. FYI-He’s located in central AL. All he needed was the template for the cutout. He did a terrific job. I do wish I went with the cabinet doors, but am happy 2 years in with this setup.

Looks great! I may build a table like that down the road - did a CL search but didn't find anyone making cedar tables - just cypress. The red finish looks good!

jfmorris, I think I found him via "grill tables" or something like that. He always popped up with BGE's in his tables. I believe he mostly does pressure treated pine, but did have a couple pics of cedar which drew my interest. If you don' thave anymore luck, I can PM you his name/number. Or i could just send it if you're interested. He's super nice and delivers on a truck with lift gate. Not sure how that'll work for you in N. AL.

Thanks - I'm good for now, but will reach out if I decide I need a table down the road and am not feeling up to building it.

Right now I just gotta figure out where I will fit the SNS Kamado on its included stand, much less with a much larger table! . And all this is just day dreaming until they actually ship it, and it makes the trip from NC to Alabama.
