don’t know if this has been posted yet, but I found a solution for a rain cover for the top vent that is less than $10. A vent pipe rain cap. Available at the Orange or blue place.

I think a 6 inch cover will fit over the entire grill cap, but I would have to order it and since I was there anyway I got the 4 inch. But next time I go back I can get the 6 inch to 4 inch reducer. It’s onlt a few bucks.
The disadvantage over the stainless steel cap made for the BGE is that to adjust the top vent I have to remove the cap. And it gets hot. But then again, that’s what the welding gloves are for.
Also the galvanized cap matches the "I never took down the hurricane panels after Irma, but since hurricane season 2018 starts soon why bother doing it now" look that I have going
