I'm a little skeptical of the electric fire starter, not from a function validity standpoint but from a potential user issue. It's basically like an electric stove burner but on a 110 circuit. Assuming most folks will use this on a patio they'll have a high likelihood of GFC receptacles. Some of those don't react favorably to high amp draws like an electric burner will produce. It will be interesting to see if tripping the circuit breaker is a frequent complaint.
