    ISO Primo XL Acessories

    Hey folks,

I've searched the threads and have failed to find what I'm looking for. Most of you probably know that there are copious amounts of accessories for kamados like BGE and KJ. However, as an owner of an Oval XL, I am struggling to find some good accessories Primo just isn't producing accessories that I'd like to see. I'm looking for things such as rotisseries, mods, etc.

Does anyone know if Primo plans on producing more accessories for its Ovals?
Are there third party manufacturers that are making accessories compatible with the Oval XL?

This thread is relevant to my interests. I have also noticed there aren't a lot of accessories.

I have an expansion grate. I have the ash tool as well. But my DigiQ DX2 temp controller is my best and most used accessory.

      There are cast iron griddles.

I wonder if this rotisserie would work?

A modern twist on an antique and well-loved Union Pacific vintage lantern. Gorgeous seeded glass and copper accents make this a unique light for a curated dinner table or at camp. High-tech and functional, this lantern utilizes battery or USB with a run time of 100+ hours on low or 3.5 hours on high. Adjustable brightness LED Edison-style bulb provides a classic warming glow perfect for every occasion.

Ceramicgrillstore.com has some accessories like this wok set up for the Oval XL, but I haven’t seen a rotisserie. Please let me know if you find one.

The Caliber rotisserie system is designed to work with Caliber's kamados, which have a mounting bracket for the motor on the left, an opening for the spit to slide into the kamado and small rollers on the right interior for the spit to rest. I don't know of a rotisserie that will fit in a Primo Oval XL.

I have the grates and stone holders from the Ceramic Grill store and I love them.

I prefer them over the porcelain grates that came with it and I find the stone holders don't suffer from "rocking" that the Primo stone holders do.

Also, the grates don't have to be flipped to sit on the fire box, so they don't have the bar running down the middle, so I get a little more space out of them.

I've seen a rotisserie on the Primo owners Facebook page. A guy from Sweden (I think) is making them in small batches.

I LOVE my Primo, but I'm also a little disappointed in them. I see BGE and KJ making improvements and tweaks in their design. I see new accessories from them, but nothing from Primo.

Track that guy in Sweden down! Offer him a free trial and tell him if he shows up here that at least 1 guy (ME!) will buy his rotisserie.

Yes, please find this guy! I’d love to have one!

It just doesn’t seem Primo is moving in a forward direction with production. Such an incredible design, yet lack of progression.

I've got one of these for the BGE, and it is awesome, and fits all Primo models. A typical rib cook:

JCBBQ Chuck T , Good news. I found the old thread and posted a new thread on Facebook asking the creator what the status is and if there a chance to order some.

I'll advise as I learn more.

Here is a pic of what I found. Disclaimer: Not my picture or pit.

Looks very interesting. I saw the post from the guy who fabricates them. Primo should take a page from his book...I'd REALLY like to see manufacturers start producing more gadgets and accessories compatible with it. KJ's innovation is pretty outstanding...
