What should I do with my Big Green Egg base that developed a crack? I could just continue to use it until it finally completely breaks and then install the new one that they gave me under warranty, but what’s the point since they will replace the new base if it cracks. Or, I could use it as a giant flower pot. Or, I could use it as a fire pit and maybe set a 22 inch Weber grill on top and just use a Weber lid as a cover. Any other ideas out there?

It is looking more and more like a flowerpot since after removing it I can see there is a crack across the bottom. I made a flower pot out of my old crockery Kamado when it finally gave up the ghost, that worked out pretty. I dropped a plastic pot in to keep it from overheating in the summer. I am afraid it wouldn’t last long as a fire pit.

FireMan Here is a pic of the old one -red and green with a hydrangea before it bloomed. It is going to tak a while to set up the new one. Dallas has been running 107-108- not ideal for transplanting.

HawkerXP Thanks. That was in South Louisiana. Dallas is going to be more difficult getting things lush and green.
