I’m looking to up my pizza game a bit and wanting to see if anyone has experience using a Kamado Joe DoJoe with their BGE xl. I’ve looked at some other options as well, but the DoJoe seems like the simplest solution to get the dome effect of a wood fired oven.

No experience with an XL or DoJoe. On a LBGE, fooled with pizza for awhile. Had pretty good luck using racks, etc., to get pizza up closer to dome. Seemed to help equalize top and bottom temps.

I have used this set up from the Ceramic Grill Store for a long time with success. It raises the pizza stone up into the dome. Call them before you order and they will talk you through it. IMO the CGS is a great place to do business. My set up is similar to this link. I also have a 5/8" x 16"stone for pizza from them and a couple 5/8" half stones to create different temp zones for other cooking styles.
