So, my Akorn is up for sale. I had it for a little more than 2 years. It is an excellent cooker, and I do think a Silver on the free side is a bit harsh. The value alone compared other kamados makes it at least Gold in my view.
Seriously though, you can buy multiple kamados before you’d even approach the investment in the competition and parts are easily available. It is easy to use and cooks very well, especially in the winter. It is mobile, fuel efficient, and has a super-large 22” grate compared to more expensive peers that offer 18”.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting a cost-efficient and fun new kamado. I can’t think of any complaints except the lack of phone numbers for customer service. Well done Bandit, well done. 5 stars.
