    Homemade WSM 18 Hanging Rack

I always wanted to try cooking PBC style. I wasn't sure If I wanted to drop $50.00 on an aftermarket hangar.
fzxdoc got me interested in this style long ago but I already had the WSM.

    So:

    1 old Casserole dish rack
    1 old rib rack
1 8" piece of 5/16 threaded rod that I had in my basement.
    tie wire
    Hooks from my prep table
    Kleins
    Grinder

Voila.... Instant PBC on a WSM

    Final pics to come.

Red Green would be mortified....no duct tape.
I had an 84 Regal....your vinyl roof looks terrible....the black duct tape keeps me dry....Oh.

When I was 17, I had a '74 Buick Skylark with a vinyl top that leaked. I troweled on clear roofing cement. It smelled like heck and never did quite dry...But it did stop the leaks...lol

        Yeah, we were dude's.
Don't care how much of a broken down crate it was still better than walking.
        And what a chick magnet....

fzxdoc Thank You. I have to say, this style of cooking is more than interesting. I’m glad I resurrected the old WSM. She was sitting in my basement all summer. I normally use the SnS on both the 22 and 26. I guess sometimes one cannot beat a dedicated smoker. Again thank you for your inspiration.

I sold my old WSM. Wish I had be ingenious enough to modify it for hanging. I even have an old, unused Weber rib rack.
