Good news?...Bad news.
We had a block party last night, in Philly that means we get to block of our street and eat and drink in the streets. I smoked a large pork shoulder in my WSM 14 turned out great. I may have had too much to drink and left my smoker on the side walk, correction that is exactly what I did. The good news I just ordered a WSM 22, so I am wondering subconsciously if I left it out there on purpose.
Sorry to hear about leaving your cooker on the sidewalk. The 14.5 is incredibly versatile and I've really begun using it for a variety of purposes this year. The best NY Strip steaks I've ever cooked (more than once) were in the 14.5. It's the perfect size for so many things.
Great lookin pork, brother! Oozzy Did somebody walk off with yer 18", if I'd haveta guess? (City Livin)
Welp, yup, reckon a brother ain't got much choice, but to git that 22" now, do one?

I'm going to add to the chorus and say get the 22 unless you need portability. It's the first smoker I ever owned (bought in 2016) and was easy enough to learn on. You don't have to use all the real estate but having the option is great. I've had a few parties since I've learned my way around it and easily did 12 whole racks of ribs (using a upright rib rack) and a 20 lb turkey for thanksgiving. Recently I did two large briskets at the same time because it has two full sized grates.
At one time, I had one of each. I still have the 14 and the 22, but I miss the 18! But I'm not buying one -- did just spring for an 18" Jumbo Joe though...
This is all great advice! I am looking at getting a WSM to go with my 2 kettles, and I think after reading all of this my mind is set on a 22"! Great post, ecowper

It took me a while, but I finally got one. I can’t call it an impulse buy, since I’ve been contemplating this for a while, but after wandering around Home Depot this weekend I just had to take this one home. Here it is smoking a bunch of Tasso. This thing is so easy to use out of the box! I should have done this sooner!
