    New PBC owner

Picked up my PBC today! Joins my Yoder YS640 (it was lonely). Looking forward to learning from y’all! Cooking St Louis cut ribs tomorrow, and I will follow up with pics.

I know you'll enjoy it, Byrang. It does a great job. It's not quite as set it and forget it as I hoped, but it's pretty darned close.

To be real. Nothing is set and forget. But if you are consistent with your procedure, yes, you can expect to get the same results. Enjoy!

Wait until HawkerXP hears about this!

Congrats, Byrang , on your new PBC. It's a sweet smoking machine, for sure. You're going to love the chicken it cooks. Have fun with your rib cook and let us know how you like it.

Thank you for compiling all that data! Currently have a brisket going on the Yoder, and will put the ribs on the PBC to accompany the brisket. Cooking for a charity event.

Congratulations! Welcome to the Barrel Club! The PBC is a great cooker as long as you are willing to let it do what it was meant to do. fzxdoc has some very, very good information in the channels section check it out!

A few pointers. Use fzxdoc 10-10-10 method to start the charcoal. Go to the charcoal grill channel/PBC and you find it.
Spray the lid with some Pam to help seal the lid. On ribs I place the hook about 3 bones down and let the top flip over. This keeps the end away from the fire. Use Meathead Memphis Meat Dust and don’t forget to dry brine overnight.
3-4 hours and you will be eat good grub.

Did a backyard bbq competition for charity, didn’t place in ribs, but took second in brisket , and 3rd overall. Loved using the PBC and know I have a lot to learn on it.

That is a terrific combo!! The pellet gives a light smoke and is party friendly. The pbc has that husky smoke churrasco smoke going on. The same foods prepped the same exact way taste way different. I love that variety, have fun!!!
