Pit Barrel Cooker Email - Verified Reviews - Issue

PBC owners (current and previous),

I just received an email from Verified Reviews for a purchase I made from Pit Barrel Cookers.

This concerned me since it said I made the purchase on 9/5/19 and I know for sure I haven't made a purchase from their site since I bought some accessories a couple of years ago.

I called PBC and spoke with Angie. She was super cool and said it had to do with something along the lines of them merging info from an old system to an new system and unfortunately when they did that it triggered these emails to go out.

So DO NOT panic if you get an email. She said nothing has been hacked, compromised, identity stolen etc... it was just a system glitch on their end.

Of course you can feel free to call them and verify for yourself.

That sounds exactly like something someone who was stockpiling PBC's on everybody's dime and didn't want us to call and verify would say.

Are you sure you didn’t purchase one? I mean really sure! Like maybe ya need to look around to see if ya just didn’t sneak one in on yerself. 🕶
