    Grill temp lead while hanging

I have had the PBC since the beginning of the year. I have cooked on it several times without a thermometer. I have a maverick 733 and was curious where people attach the grill temp leads when hanging the meat to cook.

I use a clip to hang it off one of the bars, not too close to the meat.

Is it the clip that came with it? I couldn't get mine around the rebar.

I droop mine over the rebar and let 'er hang. As Jordan mentioned, not too close to any cold meats. Half way down a brisket on up to the lid, temps pretty much the same.

Thank you. I never thought of just letting the probe hang in the pit.

I'm about to hang 4 briskets. I'm putting an extra piece of rebar across the middle to drape the probe over.
