    PBC Barrel and Lid only option

    I was checking the PBC site today and noticed that you can update your barrel and lid with the new style for $159. Has anybody done this yet?

    I may contemplate it in a few months. Depends how many briskets I burn through this thing over the next couple months. I have some rebare modifications to do so I can initially hang 6. Time will tell....

        Yeah, living on the coast and keeping it out in the weather is taking its toll. I'm going to give it a quick brush and coat of Rustoleum this spring and keep my eye on a replacement barrel maybe next year. It's great to have a new barrel as an option.
