Hi fzxdoc! Your timing is good, as I’ve returned to post my final review of the IQ110, and here it is:
After two more severely underwhelming cooks in which much fiddling and experimentation were performed in an attempt to rectify the wonky performance, guess what? When I relocated the barrel after the 4th of July cook (we had rain, so the barrel had to come into the garage), as predicted / expected, the power cord from the IQ110 had melted against the outside of the barrel. At least THAT performance, which was the crappiest of the three, had an explanation.
FINAL VERDICT: The IQ110 is awarded the title of BFM - Burning Fecal Matter, as it is by far the biggest flaming pile of crap I’ve run across in the past 20 years of outdoor cooking. Shite materials, shite performance, shite customer service all adds up to a sum of spend your money elsewhere and get a quality product instead.
