PBC and Compart Duroc Ribs ?

So on tv on the bbq shows like Bama-q they all promote Compart Duroc ribs.Checked out their site today and the Babybacks are $160 for 8 racks and the St.louis are $200 plus.I usually buy mine at Foodlion, which usually are swift premium. They are good for what im cooking - family ect.

So my 2 questions are these (1) Has anyone ever used compart ribs on the PBC?
(2)if so - how did it turn out and do you think it was worth the money?

Like most racks the middle 4-5 are the best. From what ive seen of these ribs they appear to be extra thick. Not sure if they only show the middle portion.

Since the PBC is now my goto rib smoker, thinking i might try these sometime. Thanks upfront.

I have used them a few times. They are really good, but I can get quality ribs so much cheaper in other places. On the PBC they are fantastic. I know Skip is also a big fan of Compart.

I know that people on the Competition Circuit really like the Compart Products. To be honest I've only used them a few times and they were very good. It is definitely a very high end product. I'm just an at home cook.

I've only cooked them once (baby backs) and they were great, but at 2x or 3x the price of what I can get ribs for in my area, they'll be reserved for special occasions, or when it's just me at home...haha! Heck, now I'm craving a rack of 'em.

I've done them a few times, but honestly don't think they're anything special. I'll echo Spinaker's comment that you can get quality ribs from a quality butcher and be just as happy. They're still pretty good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for 'em. But the PBC will do 'em justice.

Awesome, thanks for the input.Yes they are costly.Looks to be around $20 on the baby backs per rack.Maybe one day ill try them. For superbowl week at my local foodlion, they are running swift premium boston butts at .99 per lb and st.louis sr at $1.99 lb so i jumped on a few of each. They arent top of line but pretty close but for the home cook and the money it works. Thanks everyone.
