    4 Tri-Tip

    A friend's men's group from church was having a bar-b-que cook off and he wanted to bring tri-tip. He wanted to cook them in a smoker, but didn't have one. We cooked them in my pit barrel, two at 2 1/2 pounds each and two at 3 1/2 pounds each. He's a rookie and took Second Place at the cook off, First went to a Master Chef who brought Jamaican Jerk chicken (not cooked in a PBC). I wasn't there, so I don't know all the details. He texted me this morning that he could "still smell the smokey meat' even though it was in his mind. A satisfied friend.

    So cool. The only thing better than three tri-tip is 4 of them suckers.

            Nice! Tri-tip is easy to come by here in CA (seems it’s becoming more popular in other places as well) and it’s one of my favorites because it’s has great beef flavor and can be ready in just a few hours!
