Hello fellow Pit Mates. Been a while since I’ve posted. Been lurking but life has been busy. The good news is I’ve still been cooking. Just not able to write about it. Got an Anova for Christmas. Not sure I’ll use it for BBQ but man does that make so great food. Smoked a duck for the first time for Christmas. Came out great. Did some beef ribs for Super Bowl and other things here and there. Also made it to Smitty’s in Lockhart and Tejas BBQ in Tomball TX. Both top Texas BBQ joints according to Texas Monthly. And I agree. Hoping life calms down and I can start posting more. In the mean time here are some pics.

Smoker: PBC
Grill: A 20-year-old Webber 22.5" Kettle with a Slow and Sear
Thermometers: A Maverick ET732, A Thermapen, a few miscellaneous thermometers
Misc: I just seem to keep buying things.
Not sure why stuff posted twice. I’m on my phone and sometimes this happens. User error I’m sure. I’ll try to fix at home tonight.

Is that the official name? We didn’t try the chocolates but they liked good. I plan on doing a full review of them and Smitty’s eventually. Tejas was excellent. I’ve not been to Killen’s but I think it’s best in the great houston area. We must have caught them right because we walked right in late afternoon and they still had everything on the menu.
