Anyone ever track temps in their PBC without cooking any food?

Did that with my first outing with the PBC and for me it was a useless endeavor IMO. Temps started out at 250, rose to 370, then began a slow decline. I measured temps every 30 minutes for 8 hours. Data is below. I consider it useless because the PBC acts completely different with food in it. It's not like my Weber kettle where I can tightly control temps by adjusting the intake and exhaust. The normal PBC pattern with food, from what I've seen, is more like spike early(400ish), then settle down and bounce around in the 275-300 range.
