New PBC

Someone please talk me out of getting a PBC! I found one on craigslist, brand new in box, for $200. I'm seriously close to pulling the trigger on this one!
Pros:
It's a great cooker, from what I have heard
I have the room for it.
I could use another cooker.
I can afford it.

Cons:
Have to get CFO approval, or at least get CFO something to compensate for my purchase.
I don't really need it, I just want it.
Do I want to save the money toward a WSCG, or spend it now?
My brother recently commented that I have as many grills as he does motorcycles. I ONLY have 4!!!

Thunder77 Get the CFO something pretty with the savings and for gosh sakes, don't let that PBC slip through your fingers. That's a great price. And "need" is not in the MCS equation.

The WSCG is such a different animal that you'll still wrangle a rationalization for getting it in the future.

Kathryn, that certainly did help! It helped throw fuel on the MCS fire! I like your thinking about the WSCG also. After all, who can get through the week without a few good rationalizations? :-P

I got my PBC this past spring and love it. At $200 you should pull the trigger.

I'll do you one better, Thunder77 , and talk you out of wanting to be talked out of getting the PBC. You can't do any better than saving 33.333334% on a brand new PBC, so hurry before somebody else snatches it up, brother! This is one of those (numerous) situations where it's better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Also, if you have one cooker that you could see yourself doing without, you might even offer that one up as a sacrifice to SWMBO.

You NEED a PBC. It’s an imperative at this price. Just think of all the sleepless nights if you don’t try to get this deal. Think of the imagined Chicken dinners, the racks of ribs, and the chuckies that could have been…
