a Co worker is moving and offered his PBC for 1/3 of the cost of a new one, but where I would setup would be on a wood deck. Can anyone tell me how hot these get at the bottom and do you think it would damage a wood deck. Also would SnS work with a PBC?
I have said over and over again... and hold to the argument that the PBC and Weber w/ SnS should not compete with or replace one another.... It is my opinion that they compliment each other extremely well and provide a setup for you to do a lot techniques, styles, and quantities of food... I have both and love them each!
I think the only potential damage may result from sparks from the air intake hole at the bottom. I've never seen sparks shoot out from there though.
Pavers or bricks like Nate said above and maybe something to protect the deck near the lower hole and you should be good.
