I was horrified earlier in the week to get home from work and find that the wind had taken my PBC for a tumble. While it looks to be fine I was hoping for advice on avoiding this happening again. I don't have much storage space so keeping it outside is a necessity. It stays covered when not in use with the PBC cover fitting well so it doesn't seem to be making it anymore of a kite. Anyone have method(s) for keeping a PBC grounded? Thanks!

I think I would maybe tapcon in a couple of attachment points to the concrete and then put bungee cords or strapping to the barrel handles or even over the entire unit.
80mph gusts are insane.
As the legs are not attached to the barrel you will need to "strap" to the barrel handles or over the entire unit.

I've had strong winds blow my Weber Smokey Mountain over a couple of times. When not in use I just corral it up against some of my other grills.
Both the WSM and the PBC have legs that could easily be clipped to attachment points at ground level like @Ischweig suggests. Would be quick and easy to just use a few cheap carabiners to attach the PBC legs to those tie downs.
If you didn't want to put some tie downs in your actual patio you might get 4 of those 18" square concrete pavers at Home Depot and arrange those in a square to put your PBC on and then just put the tie downs into the pavers.

If you've got nothing to lash it to, then I'd just go out and lay it on its side whenever those gentle Front Range breezes are forecast to blow ...

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
