First chicken with B&B on PBC

    Hello Everyone,
I cooked my first chicken on my new PBC using B&B charcoal for the first time. First of all the chicken turned out AMAZING!
I cooked it just how Noah shows in the PBC video with All Purpose Rub. I ended up cooking for about 2hrs and 15 min. This
was also my first time using B&B charcoal briquettes, after this cook I will only use them for longer hotter cooks. I held 320-340F
for the entire cook and no adjustments to rebar holes or lid! As a matter a fact, my cook was completed approx. 3hrs ago and the
PBC is still holding temp. at 325F. I was very impressed with the performance of the B&B charcoal and completely floored by the
taste and crispness of the chicken.

The PBC chicken with PBC AP rub is awesome for sure. Sounds like you held temps over 325 with no problem. Hopefully your skin was crispy.

I ran ribs today with KBB and that is just about all I use it for. Gotta love that little Pit Barrel chimney.

B & B definitely knocks it out the park for long loaded down cooks and HOT cooks.

Thank you. I really like the SMOKE, seems to be a little more accurate than my Maverick. Can't wait for the WIFI adapter!

Yeah, the Smoke mount looks like it would come in handy.

            Hi Guys and Gals,
So I had a dilemma, where I BBQ at in my backyard is pretty low and my SMOKE remote receiver can not stay connected
to the transmitter. So I came up this extender that allows me to elevate the transmitter so I have direct line of sight with
my receiver. I made the holder so it could work on both my PBC and Kettle. On the PBC I used 3 Neo magnets on one of the
side handles with an electrical box cover to make a firm base for the magnet to attach to. On the Kettle, I mount a 90 degree
2" wide bracket to the side handle for a nice strong base for the magnet. So far it has worked perfectly.
