    First 4 cooks on PBC

It's been a little over a week since the gift that keeps on giving arrived at our house. Wanted to share our first cooks.

I had to do some ribs to start out with. Mainly because my wife said that if I didn't she would cook me in the PBC.

Then we had some friends over and I cooked up a couple chickens. These things were wonderful. Everything on this plate was made on the PBC. Right side of the plate is onion wrapped in bacon (because why not?)

We live in an area with a large amount of Brazilian tourists throughout the year. This has caused, to our benefit, several International marketplaces to open up around us. One of our favorite cuts to get is picanha (sirloin cap). I overcooked the asparagus there but the meat was fantastic.

Finally, the local grocery store had a special on standing rib roasts (I guess hanging in this case) last night so I decided to surprise my wife with her favorite cut when she got home from work.

I love this magic barrel. There would be more pictures but the grocery stores around here have also been having killer deals on beer and wine so some of the pictures just didn't come out properly.

That seems much better than the "Jelly of the Month Club" gift that too is the gift that keeps on giving the whole year thru.

Great looking cooks! Can you share more details regarding the sides? When do you put them in the PBC? For how long? In a pan or just on the grate? I'd like to start doing some sides, but don't really know how to go about it.

It's usually just the wife and I so I'm not using large quantities of meat. The cook times haven't been too long to where I need to worry about ruining them. Should have done the asparagus for way less though.

DeathCassette I never thought of a foil pack for veggies on the PBC, great idea. I'm like you being just me and the missus so I have started having BBQ night with some of the neighbors. I do the meat and they bring sides. fun for all

Northside Brian Hey, now that is a great idea. In these uncertain times, we need more families coming together, like our parents used to do. More practice with the PBC can't hurt, either!

Fantastic cooks sir and congrats on the PBC! A wise choice to cook those ribs first.
