    Rotating Great Grate

SO for New Years I made hot wings on the PBC.
I was struggling a little with the hot spots in the PBC.
The next week I decided I need a rotating grill. I put this together and it seems to work. It is 2 grill grates separated with a pulley. Going to cook a pizza tonight and see how it performs.

That looks grate - er - great. Now you need a high temp motor with low RPMs to turn it.

No need. Just rig a spindle to go through the lid. Mount the motor above the lid with a battery. Gearing will take care of the speed. Sounds like a fun project! Only problem would be that you wouldn't easily be able to "crack the lid" to bring the temps up.

Yeah I thought about that but I really only need it for wings and pizza.

Ok, Spring water should do the trick.

I just cooked 2 pizza and the rotating great grate work as advertised.
i use a screen pizza pan that I set on top.

I made a pizza I ate at a new pizza place called Mod Pizza. Great place and super pizza.

This one uses olive oil on the dough, the fresh basil, mozzarella, gorgonzola cheese. After its cooked you swirl a balsamic vinegar fig sauce. Wow the sweetness, tartness and saltiness all comes together.

I made the balsamic vinegar fig sauce from fig jam. It was so good I am thinking about glazing some pork ribs with it at my next competition.
