    To season or not to season?

    I'm gonna fire up the new PBC this weekend for my very first time. Should I burn a batch of KBB coal with some canola sprayed inside first or just light it and cook? Talk to me about seasoning this baby.

    No seasoning required, other than meat. I put mine together and cooked ribs.

      No seasoning needed. Just fire her up and go.

        I don't have one but, if it were mine I would run a load of coals through it just to make sure it was all cleaned out. Maybe I'm being to careful. Just me. Good luck with your new toy.

          I agree. I don't own one but I'd fill the basket with lit coals, put in the rebars and let it run with the lid cracked so that it gets nice and hot. Then I'd cook in it.

        Season it with a couple of chickens or a few racks of ribs. Just go for it ...

          I fired mine right off with a pork butt. There are so few parts, nothing that really seemed like it needed to be burned out. FWIW I did burn a chimney when I first got my Weber Kettle.
