Used my PBC yesterday for the first time on my cream colored concrete porch. While the cooker didn't harm the paint on the porch, I noticed that when I took the lid off it would occasionally drip. Today there are Black/grey splotches on my cream porch, not so great, and the thought of washing down the porch every time I use the PBC is not thrilling. So, thought of getting a grill pad. The ones I saw all said they needed to be at least 24" from the heat source. A grill pad melting onto the porch is also not so great. I don't like the thought of putting a towel under the cooker though I doubt it would catch fire. Just wondering what others have done.

I put my lid on the ground upside down so it doesn't Drip. I also use wet towels to lightly wipe away the gunk. Don't get all of it. Just get the runny drippy stuff.

I put $2 concrete pavers down under my PBC. They work great, they're cheap and you only need about 4 of them. Then You can cook with it on any surface. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the quick replys.
Since I don't have a yard with grass, just a concrete patio, I may try some pavers next to the cooker where the drips were. Possibly wrapping the pavers in an old towel . I think if I put the lid upside down I would end up burning my arm picking it back up. Short person with short arms and not the most graceful.

I just buttoned up my PBC from last nights cook and had a chance to take a close look at what you are talking about.
I have set pavers on my deck under the PBC and only see a couple of spots on the pavers after many cooks, however two edges of the pavers are at the very edge of the deck (low deck no railings) and maybe drippings can be found outside of the deck.
At first I was afraid of marring the finish when hanging the lid on the side handle, but see no evidence of damage as I am gentle when hanging the lid.
I also saw no evidence of drippings running down the side of the PBC.
