    First Cook On My PBC

First cook had to be ribs of course. No problems lighting and ran between 265 and 290 for three hours with outside temp at 50 while I did nothing but wait. I'm going to like this.

I have wanted one for months and finally gave in. Sure was an easy cook.

Gorgeous ribs! I've only got two cooks on my PBC so far (ribs and butt) and I'm really liking it too.

Ribs was my first cook also.

I did two small butts last night. Once I got it dialed in to about 260 it remained there (approx. +/- 10 degrees since no alarms went off) for 9 hours. Woke up to two butts at 201 internal. Overnight lows were in the 40's and I was using B & B Hardwood Briquettes.

Gotta love that PBC. Great looking cook, cgrover60 . I'm getting hungry for ribs, too.

I like how you hung your Maverick off to the side of the PBC. I'm going to try that on my next PBC cook!

I hook my Maverick on the PBC's handle. I loop a long twist tie through the Mav's hook just in case I bump it. Works great.

I, too, hook my Maverick on the PBC's handle. The rebar gets extremely HOT.

Follow up on this first cook. Took leftover ribs from this cook to share with coworkers today and now have 9 new best friends and an assignment to cook for our Christmas luncheon. Rock on PBC.
