I posted this Saturday afternoon. I was evacuated by boat at 4am Sunday. No more PBC, cars, house, etc. It's all gone. Got out safe, and thats what really counts. Remember to hug your loved ones. I might be able to post a few pics in the coming days, but cell phone is shot. Been a tough 24 hours. Please pray for the men and women putting their lives at risk to make sure guys like me live to see another day.

OH man! Didn't think it was that bad. My brother is south of Lafayette in Abbeville. Lots of noxious rain (fallen trees, etc.) but nothing life altering. God Bless!

I received a text and got some other notices from Operation Barbecue Relief and they are deploying to Hammond, LA ... setup will be there but they will also be servicing Livingston and Baton Rouge.

I received a message from my company this morning to stay away from I-10 in Louisiana because of bad flooding until further notice.

Yeah Louisiana has been through this before and ya'll always manage to come back standing even taller and even more resilient. Here's hoping for your fast, speedy and total recovery.

Prayers for you and all affected. I reside in upstate NY but my family lives in Denham Springs, LA where they have experienced flooding as well. Stay safe and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Ohmigosh, IvyH ! What a terrible disaster for you! Hopefully you'll be able to recover some of your previous life and belongings as the flood waters recede. I wish there was something that I could do to help you and all of those affected by this disaster. I'll look online for organizations that are providing support.

My connection is hit and miss. Thanks for everyone's well wishes. Going to pick up a rental car in the morning. Great to see BBQ relief is hitting Hammond, but i cant get there. Interstate is closed from Baton Rouge almost all the way to Hammond. Miss the wife and kids! We'll finally be back together in about an hour. And I might rent a boat to go rescue my PBC...ok, not such a great idea.

They are going to service in Baton Rouge and Livingston as well. I'm not sure the logistics but that is what they are saying. Best of Luck and stay safe.
